Skids Tips #2
Number 2: Think about how to catch the disc. When you are training, warming up or just chucking around try to catch the disc trailing edge, or with your off hand. Make the catch difficult because in a game the catches are never easy. There are many ways to catch the disc, and during a game you will not think about how you will catch it, but when practicing take that time to train your reflexes to catch the most awkward of grabs. Think beyond the clap catch or "Si Weeks" two handed grab.

I sometimes like to play guts when warming up. The catches are tough, and it is hard throwing it back fast and under control. It is good for teaching people to catch pressure catches, often not thrown into the middle of the body.
How many times do you see someone dropping a bullet pass in a game on a come to cut. Play guts, get better at it.
How many times do you throw a bullet pass at someone? Please get better at throwing, who ever you are...
Ok, bullet may be an exaggeration. It doesn't even need to be that fast. As soon as you add the dimension of cutting directly toward the thrower, people are more likely drop it when running in hard. Train them to catch harder catches in training, and these become easy.
You can't fault that logic.
