Captain or Coach

Well it is that time, the season is over, the club has done well and everyone thinks towards the new year. The burning question is who will stand to be next years captain.

I was in the pub last Sunday with Loz and Si and we chatted about stuff, and some of the things we thought about were quite cool. Running next year with two squads, a first team and second. These would be decided early on in the year the idea being we would begin to train together and get a team cohesion and desire to play together. Another thought was to pay up front for the tour, so if you wanted to enter the open tour you would pay for it all in one block sum. Then if you pull out it is your loss.

Hmm, this talk gets me thinking. It will be my last year in Southampton for sure. Perhaps I could run for captain and crush these players like little mice and rip them into shape to play hard next year. But then again it takes up a lot of time, which I don't have...
